Food supplement with high-dose vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol): 60 mcg (2,400 IU) per tablet, equivalent to 1,200% of the Nutrient Reference Value (NRV). This is a HIGH DOSE, well above the usual standard maintenance dose (5-25 mcg / 200-1,000 IU). Intended for specific corrections or regimens under professional supervision. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of bones and the normal functioning of the immune system.

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 60 mcg (2,400 IU) per tablet (1,200% NRV).

• Vitamin D is FAT-SOLUBLE.

Dosage (check packaging): usually 1 tablet daily with a fat-containing meal.

⚠️ WARNING — HIGH DOSE:
• 1 tablet provides 1,200% of the NRV. This is a much higher dose than the usual maintenance dose.
• This type of regimen is usually recommended for limited periods or for people with analytically confirmed deficiency values.
• Best approach: Vitamin D test (25-OH-vitamin D serum) before and during supplementation.

Take with fat: Vit D is fat-soluble. A meal with olive oil, nuts, avocado or oily fish significantly improves absorption.

Best time: with the main meal at midday or dinner.

⚠️ IMPORTANT medical WARNINGS (high dose):
• HYPERCALCEMIA: prolonged excess of vit D can lead to hypercalcemia (high calcium levels in the blood), with risk of calcifications, kidney stones and other effects. Therefore, it is important NOT to self-administer high doses without professional supervision.
• Sarcoidosis and other granulomatous diseases: DO NOT take high doses of vit D without medical supervision.
• Hyperparathyroidism: consult.
• Medication: vit D can interact with digoxin, thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids.
• The upper safety limit (UL) established by EFSA is 100 mcg (4,000 IU) in adults. With this product, 60 mcg is ingested with one tablet.
