Food supplement with turmeric in water-soluble MICROSPHERE format. Curcumin (the main bioactive compound in turmeric) has a fundamental problem: it is extremely fat-soluble and very poorly water-soluble, so its absorption in conventional format is very low. Water-soluble microspheres are a technology that encapsulates curcuminoids in a matrix that increases their water solubility and bioavailability compared to conventional turmeric without a matrix.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa) in water-soluble microsphere format.

About improved bioavailability: the advantage of the water-soluble format is that curcumin reaches the bloodstream better. This is why this type of product is usually administered at lower effective doses than conventional turmeric without a matrix.

Continuity: usual regimens of 8-12 weeks with breaks.

⚠️ Important medical warnings (turmeric has several interactions):
• ANTICOAGULANTS and antiplatelets: turmeric can potentiate warfarin/Sintrom/aspirin. Consult beforehand.
• Surgery: discontinue 2 weeks before any intervention.
• BILIARY PROBLEMS: turmeric stimulates gallbladder contraction. If you have gallstones or biliary obstruction, DO NOT take without professional assessment.
• HEPATOBILIARY PROBLEMS: consult beforehand.
• Diabetes: may have a mild effect on blood sugar.
• Gastroesophageal reflux: possible worsening in some people.
• Pregnancy and lactation: NOT recommended (therapeutic dose of turmeric, not the usual as a spice).
