Food supplement in pearls with krill oil (Euphausia superba), a small Antarctic marine crustacean. Krill oil differs from conventional fish oil in two aspects: omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) are bound to phospholipids (instead of triglycerides as in fish), and it naturally provides astaxanthin (the red carotenoid that gives color to krill and other marine animals such as salmon). EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart with a daily intake of 250 mg.

Main Ingredients:
Antarctic krill oil (Euphausia superba), naturally containing:
• Omega 3 (EPA and DHA) bound to phospholipids (mainly phosphatidylcholine).
• Natural astaxanthin.

Dosage (check packaging): typically 1-2 softgels daily with a meal.

Best time: with the main midday meal or dinner. Omega-3s are FAT-SOLUBLE: absorption improves with a fat-containing meal.

Regarding repeated fish/seafood burps: Although krill has a milder profile than fish oil, some sensitive individuals may experience reflux or burps with a marine flavor. Taking it with food and remaining upright for the first few hours after ingestion reduces this sensation.

Storage: cool, dry place, protected from direct light. Omega-3s are sensitive to oxidation (rancidity). The opaque packaging protects them. Close tightly after each use.

Continuity: typically continuous use. Minimum of 8-12 weeks to evaluate.

⚠️ Important medical warnings:
• ALLERGY TO CRUSTACEANS/SHELLFISH: DO NOT TAKE. Contraindicated.
• ANTICOAGULANTS (warfarin, Sintrom, aspirin): high doses of omega-3s can enhance the antiplatelet effect. Consult your doctor first if you are taking these medications.
• Surgery: discontinue at least 2 weeks prior.
• Bleeding or coagulation disorders: consult your doctor.
• Pregnancy and lactation: DHA is important during these stages, but specific formulations exist. Consult your doctor about your specific case.
